Christmas Trends Among YouTube Creators “Are you hanging up a stocking on your wall?"Well you better start thinking about it with only EIGHT days to go!  Yes eight… Where did the days go ai? With such little time left it is officially panic mode for the most of us.  Don’t worry however – You can always rely on YouTubers to have some inspirational content to ensure you have a good Christmas. December is a busy time for vloggers as many continue the yearly trend of uploading a daily vlogmas. Some of the biggest names on YouTube take part in this including the one and only Zoe Sugg, on her MoreZoella channel and her brother Joe on ThatcherJoeVlogs. This clever idea, supposedly created by TheGridMonster (as quoted by Urban Dictionary), is a treat for viewers who not only would be happy to follow their lives but for those who need to get in the Christmas Spirit.Watching these types of videos at Christmas can be very handy if you want to get some great tips for gifts and decorations.  If you want to know what makeup palette is best for the money or what toy is the safest for your child – you can always rely on vloggers to try, test and recommend the best! Collaborations among YouTubers and filming ‘challenges’ also seems to be a favourite at this time of  the year. Christmas always brings out the fun in us, so creators always see it as a good opportunity to upload something a little different.  Just watch the following to see what I mean... Ever heard of the drunk 12 days of Christmas? Christmas Campaigns Thecountdownhas begun; it is officially less then a month until Christmas! Forget the crazy Christmas parties, get your Gingerbread latte at the ready and whack on your best slippers – its time to watch some Christmas videos.One particular video tradition we all now have, apart from watching Elfof course, is to compare the best Christmas adverts. Noticeably, they haven’t failed to impress this year with some amazing tearjerkers.The winner this year goes to #montythepenguin by John Lewis reigning in over 18 million views so far. The heart-warming story about a boy and his toy has also worked wonders for other brands such as McVities, with Penguin Bar sales shooting through the roof!  Personally however, although only at 589,000 views, my favourite advert has come from Lidl with ‘The little present’. Lidl have done continuously well this year with their new strategy to improve reputation. By genuinely impressing the public with the quality of their food and using the hash tag #lidlsurprises, engagement is at an all time high.Talking of engagement, Tesco Clubcard have been pretty witty this year with #secretscanta, an app that scans the users Twitter page to find interests and suggest gifts!  With the use of hash tags becoming increasingly popular, I would suggest to keep regularly checking out what’s trending – some brands might surprise you!By,Kate Wicks

A Time To Remember… Although we are still in the mellow season, November has arrived with a bang. Starting with the skies lighting up for Guy Fawkes Night, this years displays didn’t fail to brighten up our dark evenings.    For those firework lovers who sit staring out of the window watching others festivities… Have you ever wondered what fireworks would look like from a drone?Or even in reverse?Let us also remember that this year marks the 100th Anniversary of the start of the First World War, and the nation has been left silent honouring those who gave their life in Wars fighting for our freedom. Unsurprisingly, the Sea of red poppies at the Tower Of London has become a huge tourist attraction. The remarkable Tom Piper, whose creative inspiration brought the display to life, has encouraged a huge social following with tens of thousands  mentioning #towerpoppies.To get involved with the Remembrance Day conversation, tweet #LestWeForget to show your appreciation of our boys who will never be forgotten.
